FINALLY...some news!

We heard from the doctor today and I will be starting chemo on Monday. They will be putting in a PICC line first thing and then they will start chemo sometime that afternoon. We are excited to FINALLY have a date to get things going. On Tuesday, I will be having two spinal punctures. I really could do without that, but if it has to be done, then it has to be done. The doctor at least apologized today about not being prepared for us yesterday. She mentioned my CT scan and said that there were only 2 lymph nodes that were large, but they were only about an inch big. The rest that were swollen were not as large. She said it was good and that it means there is no cause for EXTRA concern. Basically, we caught it early even though I am in Stage IV.

That's really all the news that we have as of right now. At least it is "good" news. I have the rest of my MRI's tomorrow.

Thanks for all the prayers and for signing the prayer map. We love so much to read all the emails and comments!

WITH GOD, WE WILL BEAT THIS!!

Vanessa - congratulations for getting through the MRI and standing up for yourself (getting the open air MRI). You were very brave to try the first one, but some folks are claustrophobic just can't handle tight spaces...

Kudos to you and your Mom for braving the weather and getting across the crosswalks...

And finally - a high five to you and Rob for giving the doc and nurse a lecture on patient care!!

I am still praying for you each morning - hang in there.

Maybe the chemo is being delayed for God do His healing. :o) Because He needs time to heal you and get all your cells clean and pure again. We are still praying for you. With God all things are possible! He can handle even the smallest of cells.

Love ya girl!

Hey Vanessa! I like being able to check in on your blog to see how things are going. Please know I'm praying for you and your family and will continue to do so. I'm glad to hear the docs are getting the chemo going next week. Until then, do something fun!! And happy early Mother's day!!! Tell Rob and the girls hello!
Love,
